Signing Up & Activating Your ClawBox

This guide walks you through the complete process from creating an account to accessing your running ClawBox instance. The whole process takes just a few minutes.

1. Create your account

Visit the sign-up page and fill in your details. You will need to provide:

• Your name and contact information
• A password for your account
• Your email address (used for login and important notifications)

After submitting the form you will receive a verification email. Click the link in that email to confirm your address and continue.

2. Choose your plan and hostname

Once your email is verified, you will be asked to:

• Select a subscription plan — monthly or annual billing
• Choose your hostname — this becomes your personal URL, e.g. yourname.clawbox.uk. Pick something short and memorable. It cannot be changed later.

You will then be redirected to our payment provider (Stripe) to enter your card details. Your subscription starts immediately after payment.

3. Automatic provisioning

Once payment is confirmed, the system automatically:

• Assigns a dedicated container to your account
• Configures it with your chosen hostname
• Sets up the network routing so your subdomain works
• Sends you a welcome email with next steps

This typically completes within a minute. You do not need to do anything during this step.

4. Connect an AI provider

Your ClawBox needs access to at least one AI model to work. You have two options:

Option A: API key

If you have an API key from a provider like OpenAI, Anthropic, Google (Gemini), Mistral, or xAI (Grok), go to Settings and add it under API Keys. Then deploy it to your container.

Supported providers:

• OpenAI — GPT models
• Anthropic — Claude models
• Google Gemini — Gemini models
• Mistral — Mistral models
• xAI — Grok models

Option B: OpenAI subscription (OAuth)

If you have an existing OpenAI ChatGPT or Codex subscription, you can connect it directly without needing a separate API key. Go to Settings, scroll to Connect OpenAI Subscription, and follow the authorisation flow. You will be asked to log in to OpenAI and grant access.

5. Access your ClawBox

Once an AI provider is connected, return to the home page. You will see a card labelled with your hostname (e.g. Go to yourname.clawbox.uk). Click it to open your ClawBox.

If your container has been idle, it may take a few seconds to wake up. A waiting screen will appear and you will be redirected automatically once it is ready.

Common questions

I did not receive the verification email.
Check your spam or junk folder. The email comes from the clawbox.uk domain. If it still has not arrived after a few minutes, try signing up again with the same email address.

The link to my ClawBox is greyed out.
This means no AI provider has been connected yet. Go to Settings and either add an API key or connect your OpenAI subscription.

My ClawBox shows a loading screen that never finishes.
The container may be starting up. Wait up to a minute. If it still does not load, try refreshing the page. If the problem persists, contact support.
